Default BIG RACE!! opions/tips!

ok so i work for a valet company in orlando fl.. the guys i work with saw my new car and were giving me crap about and telling me mustangs suck etc etc.. so i went along with it and just said whatever well now they want to race and are talking smack about how they're gonna beat and crap.. one has a bmw 335i which is the twin turbo but watered down a lot, another has an 05 neon srt 4, and the other has a 240sx turboed and the last guy has an altima 3.5 with some things done... im sure we'll go down the empty road by work where 3 cars at once can go.. soo any tips?? i know how to drive thats for sure and i like going from digs or 25-30 mph rolls.. willl i be able to take them? i hope so cause i hate losing more than i like winning.. the srt4 is the one im worried about he beat all of them before

Do you have any mods on your Mustang GT? CAI/Tune/Gears etc.?
From a dead stop, do you know how to take off with minimal tire spin?

i have 3.55 gears, CAI, O/R x-pipe, to flowmasters, and sct 93 bama race tune lol.. and yea a little ive asked on here before what everyone launches at.. i did it at 2k before and had wayyyy to much spin... i put it at 1500 then drop the clutch and mash the gas it chirps a couple times then takes off.. but i havent tried a launch with the custom race tune yet.. if you have any tips info please feel free to chime it in lol

you can probably kill the 240sx unless its heavily modded. the turbo beemer and srt 4 are probably going to walk all over you. your only chance is in a short race, no longer than 1/8th mile probably. off the line its going to be pretty close and however can put the most power down with out spinning is going to take the early race. but top end i expect them to both walk on ya.

but thats just an educated guess based off of what i know about the cars. only racing will let you know for sure.

I dont know for sure the BMW will walk you...if its stock, and with your mods, it will DEFINETLY come down to driver. The BMW runs around a 13.2-13.4 with a great driver...you can run a 13.2 with the mods you have if you drive very well. The SRT-4 I'm assuming is modded based on the company its in. If it isn't, you'll smoke it. If it is, it will most likely smoke you. Even then, you'll want to race the SRT-4 from a dig (They can't launch for crap) and the BMW from a dig (Their stability control is restrictive).

And I agree with the last post...do it at the track. Orlando has a great track! I wish I could come up there with my new saleen S/C and smoke em all

The last post is right about the SRT-4. Make sure if you're from a dig you're on his driver side or the left lane becasue they have crazy torque streer to the right but you guys should take it to the track. have fun and be safe. if you win the first race go home you won. dont let them give you excuses like i spun lets do it again. lol you win and thats it. go home and you have bragging rights

You can sit here and bench race all day but there is alot of contributing factors that aren't listed...

I wouldnt worry about the srt-4... i raced my friends stg 2 srt and he had a boost controller full exhaust and a intake and i still beat it... not by much but i did... this was with my 07 Stg2 Roush which is not Charged & at the time mine was stock except 4 d exhaust.. which is practically a regular 4.6...

Then after i added a 3.55 gears, C&L Racer Intake, X-Pipe, Headers, Tune, TB, TB Spacer, No Cats & Muffler Deletes... I raced him again and walked him like nothing...
