I've heard really bad things about RPI. You would think the way the internet is nowadays and how word spreads, not including how tight the Mustang community is, that they'd be more careful.
I feel sorry for you man! I had nothing but problems with them has well! Waited for ever for the parts, and the paint job i could do better with a spray can! When somebody on hear asked about RPI before on hear i stated my problems with them!
I had my own personal headache with RPI last year too...wouldnt buy popcorn from those clowns! i think they were doing much better when they first started out though, just not anymore. its a real shame.
I would not trim the piece...I'd toss that reservoir. Reality is if that starts blowing through from pressure, you're potentially going to shorten the life and appearance or outright damage all of the other fine work that has gone into your car to date. I'm not saying money is no object to you, but you obviously have enough to buy a reservoir from Ford, take it to the artist you trust and have him start from scratch. If it were me, that's what I would do. And of course, continue to slam them for such an epic screwup.
