I was pissed to find out that I could have gotten a used GT500 for the same price that I paid for my 2010GT..Don't make the same mistake, get the GT500...it's a freaking SHELBY!!!

Does such a thing as a "lightly used 3 to 5 year old GT500" even exist? "Lightly used" by whose definition?

I think I qualify as lightly used. 09 GT500 with 1600 miles never gone more than 70mph and have yet to spin the rear shoes. I do not have time as I have 214 coats of polish/wax on the car. 215 goes on Sat night for the first show of the year Sun am.

While I might be able to resist spinning the tires - at least avoid doing so intentionally - I don't think I'd ever be able to hold it down to under 70.

Then again, if I had 200+ coats of appearance work involved I wouldn't be in any hurry to let stones and bits of hot rubber get anywhere near it .

I wax mine 4 or five times a year...ALWAYS gets wiped down with Detailer or quick wax before every trip out of the garage (got to keep it polished!) never has it been rained on...or ever goes out in anything but sunny weather...but believe me...I SMOKE THE TIRES every chance I get!!!!!!!!! LOL

IMO, i think the 07-09 GT500's look more aggressive. My dad has an 08 GT500. He has spent maybe 15,000 dollars for a new kenne bell 2.8 liquid cooled supercharger and all the basic mods and deccorational styling under the hood. He hasn't even went into the engine yet and he has 804 hp and 670 rwhp. It's a beast. I would definitely go with the GT500.
