Straight up, ask your parents for ideas, advise and support of your plan.
Better to know now what their plans are for you. Vehicles are expensive to own and operate in these times. College? Expensive girl friends? If you don't have one now, you'll have one if you have a Mustang. LOL Tough decision ahead! The PONY habit is fun but it will take some bucks at every turn.

First car I ever purchased was this 2006 Mustang GT...never regretted my decision one time.

I've had my '07 V6 Mustang for a four years now and it gives me about 25 miles to the gallon. IF you do have the money, then buy the V6 2011 Mustang. It's just as fast as the V8 but with gas prices skyrocketing, maybe it'll be cheaper to buy a 2005-2009 V6. The insurance and car payments are always a hassle but buying a Mustang will pay off at the end.

a mustang as a first car is a good thing if you don't mind people looking at you all the time .
