Default Airaid CAI insert

Instructions said to leave it in. Can I remove it since I am tuned? It looks like it restricts air flow and possibly smooths out the air for the MAF.

The insert is to keep around the same air flow as the stock intake. That is what makes it a non-tune intake. If you take it out obviously there is a lot more air going threw and it turns into the roush intake. If you have a tune for the CAI then you can take out the insert.

Your tune should be specific to the CAI (w/o the insert) in order to benefit the most. Are you running canned or custom tunes?

Everything is in my signature. Running custom Bama tunes. It's tuned for the exhaust and intake. This should change the butt dyno readings when I take it out

Wow, I didn't think that removing the reducer would make this huge of a difference but holy crap. Note to others, if you are tuned for the intake remove the insert! I'm sure that most of you know this already.
