If I have anything difficult to remove I use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Will not scratch, works like a charm. WalMart has their brand as well, quite a bit cheaper and works just as well.

this^, quality wax and they will spray off with your hose. I use adam's americana, two coats and i can wash 98% of the bugs off with my sprayer. i also use a foam gun and let that sit for a bit to soften the bugs and tar. the rest come off with my normal wash pads.

try soaking a cotton/terry cloth towel with water & draping it over the front end... let it set for about 5-10 minutes... should soften up all the bug jizz, & make removal much easier/less damaging.

Lightly, very lightly, take a bounce static guard sheet (damped in water) and gently rub over the bug it will come right off, then hit it with a shot of detailer. If you do this very gently it will not damage your paint, I did it after several road trips in my old Mustang.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Great ideas, I've been cleaning them off with detailed after every time I drive the car & they all come off easy. Plus fresh wax once a month.

Default Bugs

As stated earlier, removing them ASAP before they bake on helps, as well as a good coat of wax. If your car is parked outside, a quick wipe down in the early AM when the bugs have had the night to soften up with the dew helps make it a lot easier. Similar to the post above about laying a wet towel on the front end for a while.

Down here, the car is dripping wet in the morning and the bugs will mostly hose off.

This is one of many reasons I've invested in a clear bra!

Hello,
Was reading a post about removing bugs and I came across your response. You mentioned the front of your car is filmed. Could you please tell me what brand you recommend and if it should be professionally applied? My husband and I recently purchased a 2011 Shelby GT 500 and I want to keep her looking as good as possible. Thank you.

You'll want to get a 3M Clear bra, and definitely get it professionally installed. It's a complicated install and should be done by someone who really knows and warrants their work. Good call to protect your baby.
