Just curious if the new Borla muffler a slip on / bolt on part like some of the other exhaust or if it needs to be welded etc?

Thanks

It's a bolt on. No welding required.

Does anyone in the Detroit area have these yet? I'd love to hear what it sounds like.

I'm not in Detroit and I don't even have a set on but I heard them on a car with FRPP shortys and Bassani X-pipe w/race cats, they were WAY TO DAMN LOUD! This guy says he's only been pulled over a few times but I think he meant he only gets pulled over a few times a day. His exhaust is like running an open header, between the race cats and Borla's wide spot in the pipe design this system is as loud as it gets short of open long tubes terminating under the car. If you have a stock car the FRPP/Borla rear muffs are nice sounding and quite a bit louder but if you get high flow/race cats you'll be really, really loud outside the car AND inside.

HTH

That sounded really nice. It's not wake up your neighbor loud in real life?

Not if you have the stock manifolds and stock cats, it sounds very nice and slightly louder than stock. At idle it sounds better but not really any louder. If you don't plan to install high flow cats or race cats the FRPP/Borlas are a real nice sounding choice for a rear muffler

Is the axle back kit that Steeda makes the same as Borla? I have heard this on the forum, but I am not sure if it is tru or no. They look the same.
