Default Belt brand issues....

I was running a 108" belt on my Saleen S/C'd GT with a 3.4" pulley. Saleen recommends a 107.3". With the 108 it squeaked real bad when it got hot and terrible with the A/C on.

I went the other day and got a 107.5" belt and put it on...it fit with a LITTLE trouble getting on, but tight. I ran it around town for a day or two and it was perfect. Great idle, never wanted to cut out like with the 108" and the A/C was perfect.

I took the car on a 12 hour drive back to base in North Carolina and it squeaks again. Not as bad though... I know the belt will heat up and stretch but my question is does Gatorbacks stretch as much as some of the "house" brands?

Also, anyone ever use Gates brand belts?? We don't have a Good Year dealer around here to buy Gatorbacks at.
