Default How long does computer take to re-adjust

Just curious I have been having an on going problem with a lean code P2270 on bank 1 sensor 2 after an off road x pipe install for months now. I finally found a leak in the factory weld and had it re welded on monday but the light would keep coming back after 2 key cycles for the last few days. And I was begining to think it was'nt the problem. Then on my way to work it came on but on my way home it went out ? So I was wondering if there was a method to the madness and it just takes the computer a little time to relearn that everythings ok ?? In the past when it came on it stayed on and never went out this is the first time it went on its own without me clearing the code. Just curious if this was normal . Thanks

Are your rear O2 sensors turned off?

It takes 8 - 10 key cycles after KAM clearing for the PCM to be adjusted. I would check to make sure you had same code in the system just for poops and giggles.

No I dont have a tune so the rear sensors aren't off I have MIL's I got with the pipe. I did everything under the sun to figure it out cause it was only lean on the passenger side down stream 02 . So I set the car to 2 grand last weekend and felt air around the weld where the down tube on the x pipe and flange meet, got that fixed, disconnected the battery monday an wednesday and the CEL would come right back on. Thursday I cleared it with the scan tool and it was the same code . Came on this morning and went off on my drive home ? Thats why I was wondering cause I un-hooked the battery thinking in essence that I was reseting the computer and it not working then a few days later it just goes off on its own.

Yes it's an 04 I wasn't paying attention when I posted in the 05-11 forum so I apologize . Does it matter if it's an 04 compared to an 05 ??

So I just went and hooked the scan tool up and the code was still there and it said MIL status on but the light is off ??? The light still works cause when the key is on accessories it lights up. So if the computer had to re-learn and the light went out would the code still be present ???
