AM should put a warning on this...
So my rear black out decklid thingie blew off today in the car wash I guess....
I played golf and when I went to load my clubs in the trunk, I noticed my rear was no longer blacked out.
I'm pretty pissed about it. I have the one that seals with 3M tape + adhesive. In hindsight, I should have known that a touchless car wash might blow it off, but I didn't think about that at the time.
So, yea, I'm pretty pissed about that.
Before I get flamed, I don't have a place in my apartment complex to handwash my car so the local touchless wash and the bi-monthly detail spray and hand wax is all I can do.

I don't have access to a hose in my apartment complex either. My car doesn't get really dirty, and I have had excellent results using Griot's Garage Spray-On Car Wash. They have free shipping through July 4.

If you look at the comments on there you will see how I had my original one stolen. It's different than it happening from a car wash, but still sucks nonetheless. I am also much more careful and attempt to avoid parking garages at all costs now. =/ I really wish there was a better way to secure them on there.

Sucks you lost it. Not surprised though.
When I lived at apartments, I always would just go to home depot and get a adapter that lets you run a hose out of your faucet. Water pressure isn't as high as at a house but still good enough to wash your cars yourself. Usually only costs like $3 bucks too. lol

That sucks and I know how you feel, for the longest time I lived in an apartment and had to do the local token wash joint with detail spray and hand wax. Even when I moved in my house I got lazy once and used the splash and dash, it jacked up a protion of my acrylic stripe and I had to have that portion redone.

Sorry to hear about the loss. I purchased the magnetic blackout panel through AM about a year ago and have had no problems to date, and yes I am guilty of using my local no-touch car wash on a regular basis. I figured if someone wanted to steal it, they would not jack my ride up trying to get it off...lol. Might want to give one a try next time.
