Well I am seriously considering buying StealthGt's vortech ho kit for my car but I have one issue. My car is a daily driver so it is driven through the winters and everything. I understand the vortechs have a problem with the winters correct? Yes I know I can keep it in a garage or use a heating blanket but what do I do when I am at work or school? I believe I read somewhere that its ok as long as you let it fully warm up before driving. Is this true? I really want a supercharger and its such a great deal but am I better off just saving for an m90 or twin screw, or just throw cams in it and call it a day? This is a big decision that I really dont want to rush into but I would like to give stealth an answer by tomorrow night. Any suggestions or help out there?

Hes trading his stang in and is selling the supercharger before he does so, but I believe what he used to do in the winter was remove it than re-install it in the spring. I would rather have a centri since its my DD but I think the winter issues are going to win this battle unless I find a daily beater for the winter.
I am also friends with a kid on facebook who has a vortech ho kit that live in upstate new york who drive it all year round and beats on it ALL YEAR ROUND
His is the V3.
I thought that the V3 didn't have those problems like the V2?
I could be completely wrong though.
I honestly want to thank you for posting this lol. Its funny cause I just read the same thing 2 mins ago and was about to post it here but you beat me to it . I was just reading that vortech was mainly worried about the issue with their v2 models because it gets the oil from the engine oil pan and they were worried that if the oil was cold and thick it wouldnt get to the blower in time and the blower would burn out. I read that this issue is not present with the v3's since its self lubricated but it is a smart idea to take it easy and stay out of boost until everything warms up, but thats a no brainer.
