This wont work. The TPMS sensors have to transmit a signal to the SJB at a given G-force, which typically occurs around 15-20 MPH. The switches inside the sensors will never close while sitting in a pipe as they will never experience the G-force required, and the TPMS lamp will eventually illuminate.
One local guy just had the old tires and wheels sitting in the garage. The car would read them every time he started it in the garage and good until he shut it off somewhere else. The tubes work too from seeing it in friends car as mentioned, not unless three guys are carrying on a story here locally.......
