Default Check engine: Throttle body problems

ok, so brief history,

i have a 2005 mustang V6 Vert, about a year ago i installed a JLT Cold air intake. i installed it with the instructions from american muscle. (then the car started to give me problems so i removed the whole tune and CAI)

ever since i have been having problems when my car is on idle, (it would randomly turn off or struggle to stay on), now it finally threw a code out for me to find out the problem. i used my sct tuner to read the codes and i got this:

P2106:
Throttle actuator control system-forced limited power

P2135:
Throttle/ pedal position sensor/ switch a/b voltage correlation

any help on how to fix this would be very much appreciated!

Not sure if it's related or not but have you cleaned your TB recently? I cleaned mine this past weekend and was surprised how dirty it was. Caused my car to idle poorly and was much more responsive after being cleaned. Worth a shot

Sounds like not only the Throttle body being dirty but maybe your MAF is dirty or bad.
When you clean your TB use CRC throttle body cleaner and when you clean the MAF use CRC MAF cleaner.

Our TB's have a protective coat and CRC makes the cleaner that will NOT take off the protective coating. SO use that stuff!

Depending on how bad the TB is, you can simply use a suitable TB cleaner (to avoid damaging the coating on our TB's) and wipe with a lint-free rag w/o removing it. OR, remove it and do a thorough cleaning. As long as you're gentle you should be able to re-use the gasket. As far as the MAF, I prefer to give it a good spray w/o any other physical agitation. Some folks will use a soft toothbrush and very gentle scrubbing but the MAF is pretty sensitive and IMO a good dousing is all that's needed.

Hopefully the TB and/or MAF is your problem but based on the codes you listed, I wouldn't rule out a bad sensor.

if i go by cleaning the Tbody and the code is still on, what are my options? new TB/ sensor? are these expensive?
i saw the TB on AM and its like 400, not bad for the aftermarket performance, i might actually do this...

i wouldnt mind installing new performance parts...
but how bad is installation? im a novice

Aftermarket TB's do nothing for you unless you're NA but heavily modified for some heavy breathing (cams, LT's, heads, etc). Ignore the moronic advertising.

I still think you have a bad sensor; probably TPS.

Removing the stock TB is as simple as 4 bolts so im assuming an aftermarket one is quite simple. Whether or not it is useful i cannot say

would you reccomend for me to buy a new TB sensor? i did touch it a few times and kind of mistreated it a year ago when i installed the intake, but idk why it would take a year to finally throw up some codes...

also, is it safe to drive my car around?

i drive like 17 miles to and from work every day...would you guys reccomend me not drive it or can i still do so?

Omar, since you have a 2005 it will be a little more difficult to remove your throttle body since the 2005 V6's throttle body is heated with coolant. Here is a write up I have on how to remove the throttle body and bypass the throttle body coolant at the same time, while it is off you can clean it!
