Default P0430 Code

I was driving home in a rain a couple of days ago and the code just lit up as I was looking at the spedometer. I tried to reset but sooner of later it would appear again. The car does hesitates on acceleration a little if RPMs are low... I think plugs, I have not replaced the plugs yet, and its 102k on the odometer already. I have ordered the new Champion plugs already, and a lot of PB blaster, LOL! I drive mostly highway though, so 101k highway miles should not be too bad. Any ideas on what might be causing this sht? And what should I do next?

Your code points to another issue...take a look at the link below.

I am having this code now. I also had it in the past. There is a good chance your alternator is bad. I went up to autozone and tried to get it tested, but my battery was only 65% charged. They can only test the alternator when the battery has a good charge. My battery is less than a year old and he said the battery was showing good, it just wasn't fully charged. Last time it threw the P0340, I replaced the factory alternator under warranty. It seems that OEM alternators aren't the best ones in the world. I would take it by autozone or a similar store locally to see if they can diagnose it.

This is about the dimished catalyst performance... I just hope that its not the cat but the O2 sensors or my old plugs. I will probably try to swap two cat sensors and see if the code changes to another bank ( side ). And its time to change the plugs anyway...
