Do I need a boost a pump?
Ok well I finally got an appointment for a dyno tune with evolution performance, but they are telling me I need a boost a pump. Do I need one if I have the m90, 2.55 pulley, longtube headers, and o/r x pipe? I see alot of people that have basically the same setup (vmp500 kit) that arent running a boost a pump. It was another $250 that I really didnt want to have to spend. Maybe I should just stick with the m90 and headers with a dyno tune. I mean I do have 4.10s so that is a big boost right there.

I highly recommend it. Sure would blow a$$ if you went lean from low fuel pressure and blew the motor over trying to save 250 bucks. I've got one and wouldn't run my car with my mods without it. Besides, if you upgrade your cams later you'll already have it. With cams, headers and the 2.55 pulley it's definitely a must.

If you have a handheld tuner you should data log your fuel pump duty cycle (at WOT) to see what its at before you spend money on a band-aid-pump. If your above 80% then it might be worth it, but you could also do the wiring upgrade to the fuel pumps for a few bucks and some of your time to save an additional 5-10% on the fpdc.

Considering all your other mods, I can't see where the additional $250 should be an issue. It's worth that much just to ensure you have no issues when doing your pulls.

One other thing you mite want to look into getting is one of these:

I wonder where my rwhp rating would be if I just stuck with the m90, longtubes and stock pulley with a custom dyno tune. If I would be in the 420 range on a dynojet I would be pretty satisfied.
