This doesn't suck!!!!!
Guys (and gals), I need help. About a week ago my AutoMeter Vaccum gauge quit working, RPM's were up and down at idle. Today I took throttle body off and cleaned it real good, took my Vaccum line loose put suction on the tube and the meter works. When putting the line back on I noticed the boot was dry rotted(vaccum loss). Bought new boot and put the line back in the "T" fitting and nothing on the gauge.
When I originally put it in, I cut into the vaccum line on the Left side of the engine (runs along top of valve cover) and it has worked until a week ago. I took the line loose from the fitting/valve/sensor whatever it is that it plugs into and I felt no suction at that piece.
Sorry for the long post, but any ideas???????

They are actually Matte Black. They look grey when the sun hits them a certain way.
I have seen you old car on here before, it was sharp. The new ride aint too bad either!
Thanks for the reply, I will keep on looking I guess.

Have you done anything that could have kinked the line ever so slightly? It is easy to do and very little will cause the gauge to malfunction, or work. I know the first time I kinked my line that runs to the gauge and it didn't work properly, the plastic tubing is easy to kink!
