Default HESITATION ISSUES

Well after 4 years I guess it's time to have a few issues.
I notice a hesitation when shifting from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4.
Mild start off from Red light, shifting and it's like it takes a second to catch up then it climbs the RPM's until next shift.
She rolled over to 72K a couple days ago.
Any info is appreciated.

well i have a hesitation too. but mine is at high rpm hard shifts. data logging shows fuel preasure just droping off between shifts. how long has it been since you changed your fuel filter? clean your maf and change some plugs. could be alot of things. what have you done and what halvent you done recently?

The easiest "maybe fix" is a can of BG 44K in the fuel. I never believed in "mechanic in a can " products till I tried this stuff. If its dirty injectors, it may just clean them up...

Simple PM stuff first: replace fuel filter, clean TB, clean MAF, run 1 or 2 tanks of Techron or SeaFoam, new plugs...

I cleaned the throttle body last weekend, that took care of the idle RPM issue I had. Guess I will clean the MAF and replace the filter. All the talk about sparkplug nightmares have me a little scared to try the plugs.

Hey NUKE, where did you get your signature cartoon? I have been looking for something KOOL like that.

I understand about the spark plug change and it has me a bit squemish, too. One of these days I'll follow the TSB and forum thread methods and change mine,

I'll need to dig to find the website that did the caricatures. They had a drawing and took the first "some #" of forum members that responded and provide the basic caricature for free electronically. There are a few others that may see this and post up. If not, I'll try to dig it up this evening if I get online.

That would be great, I really like the caricature, I've seen a couple others on here with it also.
Maybe this long weekend, a couple of beers and a torque wrench and I will attempt the plug change.
