Default Steeda needs your opinion!

Hey guys. We've been tossing around the idea of doing a trunk mounted pony emblem. It would be mounted inside the trunk. It would require no permanent modifications to the vehicle and be cut out of mirror finish aluminum.

It will be secured to existing holes for the trunk liner already in the vehicle. However in order to clear raised bosses that exist for the satellite radio connections the emblem will be raised off the face of the liner instead of being flush.

Also because of the mounting points chosen it will not sit perfectly centered in the liner.

The first few pictures are drawings of the emblem and attachments.

This last picture is a mockup of the emblem which shows its position, note it is offset slightly from center.

What do you guys think? Let us know!

Being off centered makes it look like an afterthought.

Maybe the finished product would look nice but it doesn't really wow me.

The concept it rock solid, but I have a thing for symmetry. It needs to be centered. Also, maybe one with the double bar GT logo, too?

It really should be centered.

If you can find a way to center that bad boy then it'd look great.

By the way, whoever you've got working your SolidWorks drawings knows what he's doing. Not a half bad model...

I'd say unless you can center it I would call it a no-go. There's just something left to be desired when it's not quite as it should be. Very cool idea though, if it were centered I would think about buying one.

Def needs to be centered. And the leg cutouts need to be done.
I did a custom deck lid mat for mine and did the pony in 3/16 mirror acrylic recessed into the mat.

I don't access my trunk enough to appreciate it. Although my ex girlfriend might of had something nice to stare at for the long drive before I dumped her cheatin *** off in the woods. But that's another story....
