JBA's installed, Nice!

RE: JBA's installed, Nice!
First...I do believe that sometime in the near future the motor mounts will have to be installed ..Mine dont hit the frame, but my god what a tight fit!!!...Same as your situation martin, they dont hit till I hit the gass ..then its a slight rattle around the drivers side ...The dyno has been postponed due to the fact that much of Jackson is still without power and somewhat a disaster area ...As for myself I am still without power but I did get phone and water back yesterday..So as soon as life resumes here, then I'm headed to make a pull ...

RE: JBA's installed, Nice!
I just ordered the Steeda Motor Mounts for $154 with free shipping to take care of the headers hitting the frame. It seems that the problem is on the passenger side header. With the engine off, I slightly pushed the engine towards the passenger side and can hear the header hit the frame. Nothing if pushed to the other side.
I'm hoping that soft bushings on both sides will eliminate the problem, trying to avoid exessive shaking.....

What's the cheapest place for the JBA Shorty Headers that you have found?
On Ebay they go for $512, which seems to be the lowest.
I'm curious, as well, to the added benefits of the Titanium Ceramic Coating. I don't really like the dull grey look, and they're $235 more.

ORIGINAL: GWFoos
gianf:
Get a new 62mm throttle body to remove the lag. I hear they work quite well. Maybe a few extra horses (e.g., 5-10) as well as increase throttle response.

Did you need to recalibrate after the 62mm t-body was installed? Also, do you have a link for the t-body?

You do not need to reflash the computer after TB install, but I would suggest getting it tuned as the airflow is increased, which will lower your a/f ratio. Or, if you have a tune and want to tweak the a/f ratio yourself that is an option.
Below is the link to the billet TB. The BBK one comes out, supposedly, September 17th and that one is a cast TB, which has the plastic gears and some complaints regarding the louvers sticking after long drives. The billet is about $200 more expensive.

The other place to look is at LFP Performance (see below link).

I hope that this helps.
