Default GT500 tire/rims question...

Found a great deal on a set of tires/rims from a 2008 Shelby GT500. I have a 2007 GT, is this a simple swap? Also, will the TPMS bands in the 08 tires work on my 07? Thanks!

yup, but you will need to recalibrate the TPMS to your car. Its like a 25 dollar tool.

The wheels are an easy match. But you'll need to put new bands on the new wheels unless they're already installed. After that, it's simply a matter of swapping out the sensors. Depending on how the work is done, the sensors may or may not require retraining.

The bands are already installed, the tires/wheels were removed with less than 1K miles on them. I'll swap them and then see if the light comes on. If so, I guess I'll have to purchase that tool from AM. Thanks!

Check with your Ford dealer or a few tire shops. Some places will do it for free, especially if you're a repeat customer. You may have to make a few calls and you may get no takers. But it's worth trying IMO.

Are you saying the tires/wheels already have the sensors installed? Even so, I'd still call around if you need to have them retrained.

Yes, the sensors are still installed. The tires/wheels were removed at 500 miles (Super Snake upgrade). Got the complete set for $600!
