Default Center Dash Jack Not Working

Well my center dash jack doesn't work. The negative terminal does (I use it to power some LEDs -) but the positive just doesn't work at all.

The center dash jack was already broken when I connected the LEDs

Do I just need a new wiring harness?

Does the socket not work when you plug something into it?

Di ya ref the OM and checka da fuse in da BEC unda tha hooood?

Otherwise, yes its dealership time and a whole new harness...
Is it worth $1000 bucks to get power out of this "jack"?
Maybe just ride it out until the vert arrives with a working power "jack".

^That, never get your ground from the negative on your power sockets/input auxiliary.

When I installed my interior lighting, I used one of fords grounds with solderless terminals. That method usually stands the test of time, and keeps from possibly crossing/shorting out wires.

Have you tried following your power wire down? Maybe a loose connection? Double check you ground and fuse.

Yeah, fuses are good.

My LEDs are just a wire lead crammed into the harness.

I can do wiring. Can't I just buy the harness and splice it in?

The vert will have the wrong color scheme. I need the jack now because I have a blue bulb thing to plug in...

Saying that you just crammed a wire into a harness to accomplish your goal and stating "I can do wiring" in the same post...well, maybe you can DO it, but not correctly and not well done

Its just an LED strip. I was in a rush and I popped it in instead of doing the proper splicing that I did with the radio.

If you're as good at electrical wiring as you are at chemical engineering, then I think I see what the problem is.

And if you're as good at making a relevant comments as you are at being a total jerk, then I might have had my problem fixed by now.
