Default New carpc install - finally got off my butt this weekend..

New install minus clean-up work, putting air-bag, and passenger-seat back in:

Previous install for comparison to above:

Before cutting out the majority of the internal cage and re-locating the restraint system box:

Initial dremeling testing:

All cut-out work done:

Mini-ITX case and backplate mounted:

I counter-sunk 2 1/4in metal screws with bolts into the backplate with lockwashers and a bit of locktite to make sure it doesn't come loose later. This was done by affixing the bolts and washers in place with tape to get started, as you might imagine there is no room to hold the bolts in place. This locks with a key in place to that backplate, unlocks, slides up, then can be pulled out.

The bezel/center console fab work I had done by Nexson from another forum. Materials alone for that exacting amount of fabrication work would have cost me more than what I paid him to do it for. Quite a few other things I done as well that I didn't get pics of (sorry), wi-fi antenna I mounted in the driver's side pillar, adapter I made for ATSC/radio card. I'll remember to snap a pic of myself watching Oprah at a red-light sometime just to tick a few of ya off.

Not sure if any really care much here, more a/v, but this is more S197 specific and a bit more encompassing. I figured I'd post it up here for the few that might wish to see it.
