Default Car Got Hit Today... :|

My best friend's sister tagged my car today when she was backing up in her driveway. She said "she didn't see my car." The weird thing is that she had to walk by my car to get to her car....

It messed up my driver's side quarter panel pretty badly (the pictures don't really do the damage justice). My left rim took most of the damage, thank God. Considering the speed at which she hit it, it could have seriously damaged or totaled the car if it had hit the door. It took the paint off of the wheel that I've had painted for less than a month. I don't know what I'm gonna do about that. I'm having them powdercoated anyway, so I might go ahead and do that now while I'm out of town.

Of ****in COURSE, she hit one of three parts (doors, roof, quarter panels) of the car that can't be replaced with a part from the aftermarket. She even managed to miss messing up the rear bumper.

The good news is that she's covering the damage. Her parents insisted.

I'm considering buying my new front and rear bumpers now so that I can have them painted with the other stuff and maybe save some money while I'm at it. I'll go ahead and tint my quarter markers while the bumper's off as well.

BTW, how she sat when I got her:

Now (before the accident):

Sorry to see that but it is not that bad. Most likely will be able to be straightened and repainted and you will be back in good shape. Might consider changing the parking method.....

Well the good news is that this thread reminds me of how gorgeous a color Sonic Blue is.

Bad news is that just sucks. Even when everything gets covered, it's just an annoyance to get everything taken care of etc.
