thats freakin awesome. I hit 145 in my 97 gt the other week. I was told i have a government chip so i believed it untill the needle kept climbing up the numbers. I would hit 150 but i was approaching a curve. I was going down from the Esco, CA to IB, CA on the 15 highway, if any of you know where that is. I'm surprised to see that the speedometer stops at 140 while sn95 generation GT's stop at 150.

the spedo in 05-09 stops at 147mph
on mine (I'll take a pic later) if you look closely you can see after the 140 mark you can see another medium mark indicating 145 then a small mark after that indicating 147
and btw I peged it the first week I had the car back in october of 2006 and it kept going a little bit faster after the neddle stopped
