The Challenger looked like it was way behind!! Too heavy I guess. v6 and the v8
Well that isn't the new Challenger 392. It is the older 6.1 liter. The 5.0 can't keep up with the 392. The GT500 are even having a hard time and they are producing way more horsepower. The problem with the GT500 is it can't put it to the ground and get traction.

Motor Trend had the Boss 0-60 in 4.0 and quarter mile in 12.3, the 392 was 4.6 to 60 and 13.0 in the quarter........not worried 392 or not. The only thing better about the 392 is the TR6060 tranny.

^+1 Plus, it's all in the power to weight ratio even if it's having an issue off the line due to traction. The stang will run them down after the 60 foot.
Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the Challenger BUT, its a dog. They hit the mark in the looks department but, its wayyyy to heavy. Its close to 4200 lbs..

The looks are very good from most angles, but it's way too tall as seen from straight behind while moving. I happened to be following one last night and found myself actually having to look slightly up at it. My car is NOT lowered.

People at motortrend can't drive. It has been running 12.4 pretty consistently in the 1/4 mile. Also there was leaked info of a supercharged challenger coming in 2013.

I don't dislike the Challenger but I got so sick of hearing how Ford could not make a Mustang without a supercharger that would beat the Camaro and the SRT8 models........well they did and none of them want to own up to and say.......well Ford really did a number with that Boss, now Dodge and Chevy are the ones resorting to superchargers and it's ok.....now it's sweet to have a supercharger but only if it's a Chevy or a Dodge.
