Lund Racing

Sometimes it's easier to contact Jon through Van @ Revan Racing

Revan Racing

Nitto nt05s, they rock, just got em, stock tires only lasted 7000 miles, the only reason I haven't done wheels is cause I built this car to be a sleeper.

Element, I hope you still are not using 5W-20 oil in that car. If so, we need to talk.

royal purple 5w20, i have it in colder weather some times, thicker will rob hp and thinner isn't good for weather that drops below 30 degrees, or so vie been told.

Not too long. Some jackass on some other forum is making a way huge deal about how Ford denied warranty for his #8 piston failure. Many of his posts are inconsistent and do not match up, but either he himself admitted to or others have mentioned they knew this guy overboosted the engine and/or overshot it with way too much nitrous and blew at least that cylinder up.

The stock Coyote is not designed for boost. The piston design is not robust and ring arrangement is not such like on the 5.4L GT500 engine. Nor are the Coyote pistons forged. And the Coyote conrods are fake forged (sintered, not machined true forged).
The weak point on the Coyote is the pistons. The next weakest is in the conrods. Upgrade these and the Coyote can take a boost since the Ford engineers mentioned they designed the block to one day take forced induction. But the non-forged pistons and rods in it today are not up for that. Afterall, Ford released the Coyote as naturally aspirated.
