NEW FORD FLIP KEY KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE
Heres what i know, my switchblade from mykeyless is compatible with 05 and 06, and mykeyless will give me a refund/replacement if it isn't. As it stands right now my switchblade is CUT and chipped, because it came with a chip. Is there any reason walmart wouldn't be able to program the flipkey to my car (keeping in mind i have only one totally functional key). Or are you saying they need a key with chip that is like theirs?
thanks for the responses guys youre really helping

Hope that helped, I know it seems a bit confusing (sorry).
If walmart agrees to program your flip key, then then probably don't even need the 1 original you have. But if the current chip isn't working, then you could ask them to give you one of theirs (that they put in the regular keys) and program it into your switchblade. Then you just go home, and follow the instructions they give you on how to set it up to your car (SUPER easy, only requires your 1 original key).

already bought it. so did a couple people on here. its good quality, and everyone loves it so far. i "feel" like your hair is blonde, but i dont actually know cuz i havent seen it ;p
oh btw i still havent gotten a definite answer. do uk for sure whether to selfprogram a 3rd key you need two working keys OR the 2 original keys..
does anyone know..very important
ya i need a backup key! yup easy do-over with the fobs.
NEED HELP. Got flipkey cut today, worked fine, but guy at locksmith said that my plan of getting a third key, having the dealer program that, and then me program my flipkey, wouldnt work. he said i have to have 2 ORIGINAL keys that came with car. is this true? can you have 2 functioning keys and program another, or do you have to have the original two.

sorry, don't know if one needs 2 "original" keys that came w the car, doubt it though. bought mine used so i cannot tell if the keys were orig equipment or not.
Either way, they only need your one original key. Then I would think they can program your new switchblade key with one of their own chips? I don't know if the remote chip and key chip are separate but if they are two separate chips in the switchblade fob, then I would venture to guess Walmart could do a simple "swap" of the key chips for one of their own.
Well, when they programmed my second (regular) key, they simply took my original as the "template" or w/e for the new keys cuts. Then they had this machine (looked like a giant printer) that they put a little chip into and after asking me the make/model/etc. they took the chip and put it into the plastic sleeve on the key handle and voila, they gave me instructions to use the new key to unlock my doors manually, then start the car with the new key (or some weird instructions like that, probably because the chip manufacturer had different setup instructions).

any reason you think they have to replace the chip in mine? like why they cant do what a dealer would do and just program it by hooking it up to that database or whatever? ik youre not a walmart rep and u dont have all the answers, im just trying to fully understand what u do know
and your original key still worked right? after they made the second?

I have no reason to believe they "need" to replace your chip, but it would seem that if they use one of their own chips then walmart would have better chances/success rate for getting the programming done by their machine.
The dealer may (or may not) have the same problems, or they might be able to bypass it with different machines (not sure on that).
When they programmed my chip, they simply dropped it into the plastic handle and gave me the simple instructions on how to "sync" or program it to the car. In a perfect world (if your current chip isn't working) you should be able to swap out the ebay chip for one of walmarts "ILCO" (company name) chips and in theory, you should be able to follow their instructions as I did and have yourself a working key that pats will recognize.
Sorry if this isn't helping, but its essentially the idea that swapping the current PATS chip out for a walmart chip that is known to work "might" solve the issue at hand (I told them I have an 08 but I have no reason to believe they can't do it for a 05-06 unless they tell you otherwise).
Hope I didn't confuse you further! Just ask if you need any clarification.
