Default Need help with HIDs

I've read a bunch of threads on the subject but still can't decide on which kit to purchase. I want to make both my headlights and fogs HID because of my new headlight tinting so I need a little help. I pretty much want to know if it's worth getting the 55w vs. the 35w and if there is anything else I should bring into consideration.

I'm looking to purchase the retro solutions 55w digital H11 and H13 kits and figured i'd run it by you guys before I finalize my purchase. Any help is appreciated.

edit: I should also mention I'm leaning towards the 6000k option. Thanks guys.

I bought my kit off ebay for 30 bucks.

It didn't come with brights (realized that afterwards, LOL).

But needless to say, I couldn't be happier.
They're brighter than everyone else's, installation was a breeze, and I've had no problems.

I got mine from stangmods.com and love them. They are a bit expensive but when one of my fog bulbs blew out there was no questions asked and I sent the broken one and they sent a brand new one. Also for you I would go with 55w since you have tinted fogs and headlights

I got mine from Retro. 1st, this is the best HID kit I've got for a vehicle yet. The harness fits very well, bulbs work great, and customer service is excellent. Retro is A+ #1 in my book. I have the 55 watt 5000K (Headlights and Fogs). They are pretty white. Not much of a blue tint to it. VERY bright though.

They're not supposed to. HID's take a while to warm up, so if you had HID brights you wouldn't be able to turn them on quickly (or flash them).

EDIT: This is true of dual-bulb setups but not the systems which change position that are being discussed. Apologies.

Mine came from Retro too. Very helpful when I had some questions about the installation.

Alrighty guys, thanks for everything, I'm going to go ahead and order the 55w digital kit for both sets of lights. Safety is # 1 but there's no way i'm removing that tint after seeing the end result! lol

High beam on a HID bulb is controlled by a motor that
quickly moves the bulb from the low beam position
to the high beam position. You can visually see this
when someone with lo/high beam HIDs flashes you.
I would replace that rusty muffler asap....

The bright lights (High Beams) are instantaneous. As stated, they move the bulb position very quickly and are actually faster than normal high beams. The BiXenon bulbs are what you want. The high beams are extremely bright as well. Mine light up just about every inch of anything in front of me, and a lot off to the sides as well. The other HID's I've had for other vehicle are in no way close by comparison.

It's official, ordered the 55w Slim Digital H11 and H13 kits from Retro-Solutions! Now the wait begins...any suggestions/tips/pointers on the install?
