I did it with painters tape and a can of spray paint from pep boys. I actually think it was Krylon. It was a pain to tape off, but so worth it. So easy to just spray and be done.

I'm literally trying to tape it off for spraying right now,
how on earth did you get the little spots, and spots between the letters?!
