Default The wait is finally over

I've been talking about getting an intake and tune for almost 2 years now, and I never was sure when I'd get around to getting one. Well I'm going to order one today from brenspeed, its for sure now. I'm getting the steeda cai/sct tune combo. I have a friend thats gonna help me clean out my throttle body before installation. Depositing a couple checks from work and deposit check from apartment into my account today, and then placing the order afterwards. Will the redline already be set to 6500 for me? or will i have to do that myself? if so, is it hard to set it to 6500? thanks. i'm really excited about this purchase

Brenspeed reset my rev limiter to 6800 but I don't know what AM sets it at. And it's quite simple to reset it yourself with the tuner.

When you want somebody to kick you in the azz for not doing it sooner, let me know; I'll help...

BTW, I'd recommend cleaning the TB AFTER you install the CAI & tune and confirm the car is running fine with the new tune before cleaning the TB (unless the TB is already causing you problems, in which case you should clean IT first and then confirm the TB is ok before the CAI/tune install). In the event you have an issue if you clean the TB and install the CAI & tune at the same time, it'll be harder to determine which of the 2 is the culprit.

Its not very hard. I forgot what Brenspeed set's theirs at stock, but my V6 was set around 6200 by Bama. It literally only took a few minutes to change.

I got my tune from AM. They usually set their limit at 6700 I think on the race tune, but I requested 6500 and they changed it for me. Maybe Brenspeed will adjust theirs also.

Anyway, as others have said it's pretty easy to adjust it yourself also.

Congrats! I know how it is to talk about mods for awhile and then finally being able to do them!

yeah thats what im gonna do now that you mentioned it. only reason why i wanted to clean the throttle body was that i haven't cleaned it at all since i got the car, and it has 63k miles, 25k of those are from me. i just wanted to make sure that the car wasn't affected by having a dirty throttle body

Yep, that's good advice. Clean the TB before and check it or after you've verified the CAI/Tune are working properly. Don't make 2 changes at once.

You're going to love the difference and the install...enjoy!
