Default I finally bought one!

Well I finally got off my A$$ and got a Mustang today. 2009 GT/CS 22000mi on the clock. for $21K. Non smoker, 1 owner, no mods. So I'm open to any suggestions. The one thing I didn't like about the 09 is the lack of a hood scoop. But after looking at the aftermarket, there's a lot of nice hoods out there. I was trying to figure this question out before I left, I know the front end is the same or looks the same as the Shelby? Does anyone make billet grills for these or am I basically stuck with Shelby parts only when it comes to grills for either the upper or lower?

Sweet car! Go with a cowl hood or one of the venom hoods. A GT500 rear spoiler maybe.

Tint the windows. I have a Vista and it looks great with a dark tint.
I have the ford hood scoop and it looks sharp. Breaks up the plain looking hood.
That would be a quick start.

I got my billet grille from American Muscle for $170-ish.
Car looks great, but I agree with the tint suggestion. It would look great on that color.

Congrats on the new purchase! I have a 2008 GT/CS bone stock so I will be interested in the mods you choose.
I have the factory hood scoop on mine and while I like the I hate the way it fills up with water when you wash the car and then leaks all over your nice clean car the first time you drive it. IMO

That sucks!!

OP, make a long term plan for your car. FI in the future, cams, headers etc.....? If you make a plan you will save money along the way. Tint is always a great idea, but check to see if your year needs the tint protection. Congrats on the purchase, its a great looking ride.

Tint is always a must out here, in fact I'm surprised it doesn't have it already. I live in Lake Havasu where it was 110 today in the shade, so tint is getting done this week for sure. I'm thinking cold air intake and exhaust a little later down the line. Question about one thing, I noticed a lot of people have covers over the top of their intake plenums, and I'm wondering if these were added on, or deleted from ford? Mine doesn't have that cover, and all the other 09's seem to have them, "assuming the dates on the pics are correct? I saw that they do sell these, but I was just wondering if it's actually missing, or I never had one to begin with? Weird how one year to the next there's so many little items that are different.
