Default Door panel cover?

From what I read that is an expensive carbon fiber vinyl material (The red part).

I'm looking into getting something similar, only in a dark grey color.
Anyone know where I may be able to get something like that?
Preferably cheap, not wanting to spend 100+ on this..
Or even just a leather insert for the section?
Ideas? suggestions?

I'm actually doing this mod but with leather. I bought the whole cow lol.. 55 sf in red of ebay for 165. plenty of leather to do the inserts on the back seat panels as well, wrap my armrest.. etc. just an idea if you want to invest in some quality vs vynil.

walk in to your local fabrics store. There is a ton of different leather in there. I've made poker tables with with it.

Wrapping is not hard. You have to mess with it first before you do it to make sure all fits well. ( then you can start applying glue ) I wrapped a pair of radio pillars and the armrest with leather. It's really easy. Also if you use 2.5 oz leather ( thinner ) it will work out better. I suggest going with Lamb leather as it's really soft thin and has a nice look and feel and wraps around corners quite nicely. You don't really have to worry about that on the doors though. I will post a how to when I start this project. I'm thinking in about 2 weeks I should be done. Just have to find some time to do it.

One of the stickys in either this section or the appearance section had a link where a guy did this. He linked to the company where he got them. The company supposedly has the exact materials for our cars including cloth seat, leather seat materials, IUP door materials. I plan on doing the door insert black in my dove gray interior sometime and buying from these guys. Apparently they have a place a couple miles from my work so I want to go get a sample of the material but it looks legit.

Here's the link:

Inside are links to the different materials.
