Default Shaker 1000?

So I bought my 06 GT last June and the guy I bought it from said it had the "best system you can get from Ford." I've never sat in another Mustang with the 1000 in it, all of them have the 500. Is the 1000 the best and what's the difference between the two?

Yeah, the sub in the trunk is the only difference, I think.

I think the shaker1000 is a great STOCK system. I have it and don't feel the need to upgrade so I can spend on other more important things such as performance mods

yea, it's a great stock system, and good to have so there's no need to upgrade, so your money can go to mods

It is actually a pretty nice sounding system, gets 100x better when you swap out the head unit for something more powerful.
