Default Galpin widebody Mustang - photos

Some photos of the Galpin Auto Sports widebody Mustang that will be auctioned off for charity in January:

http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2011/0...g-live-photos/

The car is nine inches wider than a standard Mustang.

There was one before this one... not sure if it was Galpin but it looked HORRIBLE.

This one looks more pleasing to the eye as far as design and curves etc. but I'm not sure how the width itself would end up looking.
I do like the 69 Mach I hip that has the vent they put on there.

I wished they would have incorporated that into the S197 from the start.
Im a HUGE fan of the 69 Mach I.

Man again I wish SO BAD they would have incorporated the hip with the vent on the S197 from the start!
ARRRRGHHHH!!!!!

To each their own I guess but...

In my opinion... All I can say when I look at the (thankfully few) widebody Mustangs I have seen is.. Why?

But I agree, this one is MUCH less disturbing than the ones I have seen before

Don't get me wrong. I'm in no way saying the wide body looks good.

I just love the 69 hips I have seen incorporated to either real S197's or concept renderings.

Ford the Mustang needs some 69 hips! (Then again it would make me envy the people who picked a Mustang up with them haha!)

Oh sure! I wasn't thinking you meant that, my comment was just referring to the folks that came up with it! But indeed, it really needs the hips!

The rear end looks 350 z-ish to me. It looks nice but i think wide bodies are more for tuners.

Glad you confirmed my memory lol. It was a while back ago.
That first one was WAY WORSE than this one.

It was a joke if you ask me.

Heck if they made a one piece aftermarket part to replace the rear quarter panel with one with hips I would SERIOUSLY consider putting one on if I had a GT. I couldn't do it on the Shelby because I really am firm on keeping the look as original as possible while still being able to add LITTLE things that give it a personal look such as wheels.

That is IF I can actually find 18"s that I like that will clear the big breaks.
I want a five spoke that is kinda thick on the spoke and spread out.
I have done A LOT of searching and have yet to find a wheel that the company will confirm will fit and clear the front breaks lol.

I want to go black wheels like we did on the 06GT.
(Sorry if this is off the subject lol)
