Default Winter setup, help needed with wheels/tires

I had some trouble last winter with the P's on the brembo. They did a decent job to be honest, but having 13k miles on them, I don't want to risk it this winter. So, my baby needs some new shoes/tires.

I really like these from AM.

Black Machined 2010 GT500 Mustang Wheels (11-12) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Or, I get the 2010 SVT's for $600 from

http://www.buyfordracing.com/product...-SET-OF-4.html

I thought I saw them cheaper for like $550 shipped. Please post if you find cheaper.

I would probably get the 18's. Would I dare go staggered (Ones from AM), or same size all around? Given that this would be a winter setup, I guess the 9's would be more suited?

I want to get the Blizzak's as well.
Blizzak LM-25

These are currently going for $500 on tirerack. However, I have it picked for the brembo wheels. 225/40/19 is what I have.

I do have a budget and I don't want to pay more than $1000 or so (hell paying just $550 for the blizzaks might be just fine, not sure how much does mounting cost). Either I just put the Blizzak's on brembo's and watch some schmuck scratch the wheels, or just get the GT500's. If I do, what size Blizzak's would I put on them? What setups are you guys with brembos running during winter?

First off, you'll have more tire sizes available in 17" and 18". Secondly, the skinnier the better when it comes to snow so I'd stick with the stock tire width (but since you don't state what year I'll assume 235's). And don't forget the 150-200 lbs that needs to go in the trunk.

Nuke,

My bad; It's a 2011 (only certain wheels can clear brembo). Yeah, trunk will be full. My only thing is either to get winter tires and slap it on the brembos, or get a good set of all season tires and call it a day.

Where do you live? I drove a 2011 V6 performance in the snow with the 19"x9 summer wheels/tires, it was pretty good, but I would not run them here in WI in the winter.

I got a 2012 with the 17x7 all season tires, I'll put them back on when it snows, but I may move back to Blizzaks. I run Nitto 255/45/18s in the summer, factory wheels are in the attic for a couple more months. I'd be interested in knowing if the GT can be driven in snow. The 3.7 has low enough torque under 3,000 RPM it's not too bad, and being 150 lbs lighter in the front helps out too.

Relative to dedicated snow tires, there's no such thing as a good set of all season tires.

I just found out I have to replace my Pzero's (I guess two tires have nails in them that can't be patched). It's not leaking or losing air, it's been in there for 6 months now. So, I guess i have to get now summer/winter tires. Efff that noise. So much money.

I wish I had a FWD or AWD. One set of tires and you're set.
