Hey everyone, i should really stop making threads that i know have probably already been made


I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on CAI's for the 5.0

I LOVE the look of the BBK and the fact you can use it without a tune which is what i want, i wanna do a tune later on down the road and get just as much HP as a tune/cai combo.


or is it stupid for me to do that and just go with the JLT or the steeda and get a tune with it at the same time?

any input is appriciated, even the negative ones!

 

From what I've heard, having a CAI that doesn't require a tune is pointless. If it doesn't draw in enough air to throw a sensor/code/whatever then it couldn't add too much power.

 

+1, the CAI is worthless w/out the tune. I have a BBK and yes the vehicle will operate without a new tune, but the power gain is minimal at best. The true fun is with the tune, if you wanted to buy one or the other just get the tune. Now as for the BBK it is not any different than anyother CAI, I personally if I had to do it all over again would go with the JLT b/c it is cheaper and the color match tube is kinda cool

 

You need the tuner. I dont think you will find anyone else on this forum who will tell you otherwise
