Default Should I dyno tune?

Hey guys, I recently got a Vortech V3 super charger, basic non inter cooled kit. Got it installed by Brenspeed (Great experience BTW) well they said I should not get the dyno tune because they have done so many with the set up that they have it down good, which makes sense to me and it saved me 300 bucks. but I cant help to think I might be able to squeeze out more horses, what do you guys think? how many more horses can I get with a dyne tune?

Also what is the v3 si stock pulley size and would It hurt to go one or two smaller size pullies with what I have, or is that to much heat for the non inter cooled supercharger. Thanks guys

It should be ok but not all cars are alike. Im sure if you put yours on the dyno you could pull at least 10 more hp out of the car, and for 300 bucks that sounds pretty good to me.

It would also make sure your AF ratio, etc. is all good.
If Brenspeed installed it that really surprises me they did not dyno tune it.

Yes, I would get it dyno tuned.

I think I am gonna go a pully size smaller or maybe two then dyno tune it that way for a little morebthen 300 I could possibly get 40 or 50 horse. I am just unsure the stock internals can handle a smaller pully or not.

I guess for the air fuel I would have to call the tuner and see if it would be ok to drop a pully size

if you change the pulley, you should retune. especially if you go down in pulley size.

I wouldn't recommend it with out an intercooler.... As you know it gets HOT under there especially the air coming out of the Vortech itself. Wouldn't want it to start detonating! And it makes sense to leave the tune as is without a dyno tune since Brenspeed has experience with the V3 and although not all cars are the same as stated above, it will be pretty close!

no actual numbers however breenspeed said that since they have done so many kits of this type, the horsepower would be near 420 didn't give tq and when it's real hot they said 390ish to the wheels again no tq estimates. I think I will hold off like some of your are suggesting...for now lol

Don't get me wrong, I am happy as hell now at how it performs, but more horses and more options never hurt
