CAI on 2012 GT
#2
I picked up 15 RWHP and 9 RWTQ with a JLT CAI on my '11 GT. It does require a tune, but I already had my car tuned prior to the CAI.
I made a dyno pull and made 408 RWHP and 392 RWTQ. I then installed the JLT CAI while the car was still strapped on the dyno and downloaded a revised tune for the CAI and the car made 423 RWHP and 401 RWTQ. My other mods at the time were an O/R X-pipe and 93 octane tune.

Idk I wonder about this too, but from what I know, all mustangs made in the past 15 years have come with factory cai's. Are they REALLY worth the money of picking one up if they don't really give you gains? I don't really care about my intake looking "shiny".

No problem at all!
Also as for whether they're worth it, that's really up for debate. It's all about what you value your HP at. I'm personally really happy with how much power my mustang has as it is, I have it tuned to create better shift patterns etc but the CAI to me isn't worth it.
412+ hp at the crank is more than enough for me to have plenty of fun.
