Rust on stock brake rotors?

I get it too, any time the car sits for a while, rust appears, and mine is garage kept. That' s why the more expensive replacements are zinc coated, eliminates the rust problem, but that will have to wait till they need to be replaceed, plenty of other goodies to spend my $$$ on now.

I doubt they're zinc-coated (any coating will eventually get worn off, and the dissimilar metal situation more than likely gets in the way of heat transfer).
There may be iron compositions that resist corrosion better than others, and I'd guess that ceramic rotors would be pretty good as well.
I think I'd rather have to use the brakes a few times and be able to look at the rotors and see that they all "cleaned up" together.
