Auxilary Cord?
i currently have the shaker1000 setup, and it has a button on the front titled AUX.
does this mean that i have the ability to connect an auxiliary cable to it, and if so, how do i do it?
any help on this would be very appreciated.

The AUX button is actually not connected to anything in your car, assuming you have a 2005 with the shaker 1000. In cars made from 07-09, there is a port to plug your iPod or other MP3 device into in the center console, however, in 2005-2006, they did not include any such connection.
Basically, it doesn't do anything unless you hook an iPod connection up to it.

07-09 has the console AUX jack.
The 05s dont. It was an after thought.
But dont dispare. There are kits that
will give you the aux jack.
Ford Trip Tunes... $60
Or an IPOD adapter anyone? $190

Yeah I was always confused about that aux button too, until I opened up the center console and saw that there was a plug. Even though I dont think mine works, I tried hooking up my phone to it and started playing music. I pressed the button and it said no input found or something like that. Maybe the plug isn't actually hooked up. But yeah what luckydawg003 said get an aftermarket one, there a lot nicer.
and learn about all the stuff your mustang has to offer.
Unless you just like the little suprises along the way during ownership.....
If you have the AUX jack in the center console OEM, it should work.
