I had the "tip only" Loudmouths on my car when I bought it. I didn't put them on, the previous owner had. They sounded really good! You listen to them on YouTube and they sound raspy and just... like noise. When my car was stock (aside from the Loudmouths) they sounded smooth, deep, and had a great tone. Like someone already said, the "tips" are not just straight tips. They have some functionality to them that actually tunes the sound a bit, so it's not just like a straight pipe.

I now have BBK longtubes and an offroad x-pipe. The Loudmouths sound AWFUL to me, in that configuration. Have switched to some American Thunder Flowmasters now, and they sound brilliant this way. If your car is overall stock aside from the Loudmouths, the sound clips don't do them justice. They sounded really good. If I had not went to Longtubes and offroad x-pies, I would have never taken them off. Loved them!

I don't know what they sound like on a V6 but on my V8 they sound great. Certainly not ricey.

caara and scott are high! SLP's are great. It's simply an axleback kit that replaces your muffler. It's a straight pipe with resonated tips making it legal and amazing. Those potheads that are claiming rice are simply trolls, lol

the axlebacks have a double walled tip
the resonators are resonators with nothing inside to quiet down the sound.

in answer to your question, you could weld the resonators in and use a generic muffler delete.
will it sound like the 05-10 LM? no it wont, bc the regular LM for 05-10 does not have the resonator. only the previous year mustangs have the resonator with the catback.

you mean similar to the NE 2V LM catback?
it'll probobly be similar bc of the midmounted resonator. but not exactly bc of our 3v engines.
but pretty close.

If you're asking if a v6 will sound similar to a v8 with these the answer is no. There are very good sounding v6's out there but from my experience they are running a true duals setup with an aftermarket exhaust. Might be great if you have true duals(if you're driving a sixxer)

Naw i knew it wouldnt sound the same as an 8 baker. My gf is buying it and i figured if the resonaters sound about the same then she could get those instead of the axlebacks so that's what I'm gonna do. I'm probably gonna go with an h pipe and the resonaterd and 3.5 inch tips.

Where is yhe best place to mount these? And on a side question how does gutting your cats sound compared to catless?

Caarraa is right; they do sound kinda ricey. Nice at idle but they get really trumpety a few times throughout the rev range. I got them used for cheap but I don't think they're worth $340 unless all you're looking for is volume.
