Default Which charge cooler?

I am looking at cooling down my air temps for my non inter cooled vortech, I am buying from brenspeed, I don't know if I should get the Paxton air to air, or the air to water cooler. I asked brenspeed what nets better hp they said about the same, just that the water cooler still cools at a stop, that's the differernce, which one you you buy and why?

With the A/A changer cooler, you don't have to worry about any water pump failures, or anything like that.

Plus that shiny, aluminum intercooler just peeking out from your front bumper opening looks pretty menacing.

I say air to air, less to potentially go wrong and easier to install. And like Acerbus 2.0 said, looks pretty bad *** right behind the lower grill.

That's what I was leaning twords, air to air. Plus i actually think I can install it lol. I don't like the fact the other one has a pump like you all said. So I think I am going air to air, unless someone has something they want to throw in.

BTW how much HP should I expect from the air to air.

I have an upgraded air to water setup and I would go air to air just for less hassle, not that air to water is much of a hassle itself. The only downside of air to air over air to water is you can't fill the reservoir with ice before a run or so for better IATs.

I also run the AFCO , to keep my IAT's more consistent.. Try and reduce my heat-soak.

Air/water is way more consistent in keeping temps down and when going with a larger heat exchanger and coolant canister, especially when racing. Air to air is great but may need meth injection to keep things as cool as the air/water. Can't be the simplicity of the air to air though. I have the Paxton air to air and it's a pretty hefty, high density core intercooler. Works great but still capable of heat soak after too many runs. Install is a walk in the park, though the piping is tight but spot on..
