I love my H pipe and GT takeoffs. Cheap and sounds great IMO. It's not overly aggressive like some of the aftermarket options which are too ricey in the higher rpms for my liking. Mine has a nice deep rumble (for a 6)

Best way to find one you like- start looking at youtube videos. I cant make one of my car but here are a few that sold me on getting the boomtube or dual boomtubes if you are so inclined

# 1 is a dual setup. Vid #2 convinced me to buy the muffler. Got it for $99 from Ninosport slightly used

[QUOTE=X3xMONGOOSEx3X;7683774]Some people around here have said that SLP Loudmouths on our 4.0 v6's sound like rice.

I'm sorry but these

I'm really loving the SLP Loudmouths, and thats what I want to get for my car. One question, will I be able to regrister my car and be smog legal. I know it's too loud for CA, but I could give a two @#$%'s about there DB standards, all I wanna make sure is that my emissions pass, and I can drive this car without emissions issues etc, if so what will I need to convert the SLP loudmouth's to work on a v6, and where can I buy them? Link to all parts would be helpful! I love the way that sounds!

Would these and custom piping me okay? http://www.americanmuscle.com/axexlmo20mug.html

Also, will I be fine with a custom x pipe, custom piping to axleback? Im not touching cats, etc.

Make sure you have them do 2.5in piping after your cats. As the stock piping is 2.25in. SLP claims the Loudmouths are 50 State Legal for emissions.

Hey everyone, just a quick question so I can put something to rest I've never been sure about: What's the difference between H and X pipes? I am going to be installing the Cervinis side exhaust system as soon as I save up the money after the Kenne Bell supercharger system (Mammoth probably), and was wondering what would offer the best performance and SOUND upgrade when paired with shortie headers? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Well you have an H pipe right now. The X is less restrictive and may give a slight performance gain. Since you have a v8, I wouldn't worry about the sound difference X vs H. It's not going to be a huge difference. Since you're going F/I with shorty headers. Go with the X.
