Default Tires Rubbing Question

I've had my 05 V6 Mustang for a while and replaced the 16" stock wheels with some 18"x8.5" and have had some rubbing issues. I know they make steering stops, but I came across these http://www.americanmuscle.com/roush-...ack-stops.html and was curious if any had used them or heard anything about them. They seem pretty straightforward and simple. Any ideas?

I installed a set on my car when I installed my 18x9 1/2 rims. There a straightforward installation per the instructions. One of the cheapest fixes you will ever find

The Ford parts catalog has the recommended bump stops when going with a different size wheel than OE. It's not mandatory and the rubbing depends on a few other variables. But it sounds like the AM route will do the trick.

8.5 isn't wide enough to rub. You have an offset issue.
I'm running 8.5 rims with 275 tires (20" rim) up front, and everything clears just fine.

The Roush steering limiters are a very slick fix. Much easier to install that the ford part. You don't have to remove the tie rod end, they just snap on under the boot. They give you the new clamp to secure the boot back in place afterwards.

I'm thinking this...what rims did you go with OP?

I bought the Black Bullit rims made by Ford racing. # M-1007-S1885B. My tires are 235/50ZR -18 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE T/A KDWS. When I bought them, I was told they would fit my Mustang without any problems, but later learned that the V6 required steering stops. I was hoping to find an easier route aside from upgrading to a GT and putting them on there.
