Boss 302 in "World's Greatest Drag Race"
I think this video is a good selling point for the BOSS!.. It hung in there with most of the cars and beat two of them, both of which cost twice as much (if not a little more)!!... And for the same price you can put more mods into the BOSS and then come out on top!.. And the BOSS is the best Bang For Your Buck car out of all the others in this video!..
I've always viewed the Mustang as a tuner car. Drivers passionate about performance in a Mustang typically don't buy one with any intention of keeping it in factory trim. This Boss variant is no exception. The video showed what a stock Boss can/can't do. Now those with imagination have an idea of what mod's can do for that car.
But that was a fun race to watch! Wish we could have sampled a bit more of the exhaust notes & motor grunts during the race.

As usual, someone is associating hp with cost (car costs 3 times as much as a BOSS, so should have 3 times the hp etc etc). My Viper may be faster than some Ferraris, but I would rather lose the race every time and be the one driving home in the Ferrari. Doesn't matter how much hp you throw at the mustang, it will always be a mustang and having a dynosheet with 700/800 hp will not make it a better or more exclusive vehicle.
Most folk that buy vipers, porsches, lambos etc don't give a krap about who gets to the next red light sooner.

Valid point. There are plenty here who care only about speed and power, but I think almost anybody who decides to buy a Ferrari or Lambo are those who buy it for the image more than being a street racer. People who run around street racing their Ferrari are the people who came by some massive win-fall and had too much money and too little brain to invest or save it. I'd buy a Ferrari not for the power but mostly for the fit and finish of the car.
