Here are some closer pics guys
This stuff is incredible. I have like 2 more cans left it only took 2 coats and one can to do this. I will be pressure washing the car later just to see the strength. I will let you guys know how that goes.

@zpounds
I did have one you are correct. But my car has been repainted before I owned it along with a new front bumper...well they didnt paint UNDER the stock grille so it was just a nasty color so took it off until i could paint it, I actually did that right after I did the plastidip stripe.

Looking at Plati-Dip's website, they do have other colors too but it doesn't come in spray cans. With those other colors you are able to mix and match it to the color of your choice. I also noticed that the base is clear.....Hmmmmm.....that would be ideal if it came in a spray can to spray on the front bumper and hood to protect it on long trips. Much cheaper than getting a bra or protective film.

My worry is that if it were left on for an extended period of time it would peel off and mess up the clear coat... any tests or info about this?

@ mustang0672, with your rims I would black out everything on the car. Im seriously considering mine... even using a high temp paint for the exhaust... I also have the pony Package and I bet the front grill would look wicked plasti dipped...

Yes, I just received my black GT/CS grille that will be installed later today if it quits raining. I am going to black out the running lights and the emblems on the side. I would black out the lights on it but cops here hate dark lights and stop you every time. When I had my black headlight covers on we got pulled over by a local cop who gave a 15 minute lecture on why lights should not be blacked out.

I can't believe you did this by yourself!
It looks FANTASTIC!
Do you have experience with painting?
If not this is even more incredible!

Either way GREAT JOB!

P.S. also if you don't have any paint experience you sure have more ***** than me when it comes to working on the Mustang lol!

Gotcha. I thaught I was going a little crazy. But yeah, the fact that body parets are painted while on the car doesn't make much sense to me.. That's how you get over spray and other messed up paint jobs.. Sorry to hear about that.. I know the grille would have looked good with the black stripe and everything.
