Pull the trigger?
Mileage is high, and that would be a worry if it was a rental... and it does reek of it, but the price is right. I personally would wait for one with lower mileage.
Plz keep this word in mind when reading that statement
I'm not blowing all this extra $$ in gas for nothing, and personally nothing sounds like a V8 to me, except a V10...problem is, there is never one around when you need it

Then again...we all have mustangs. Great part about it is so many options....get a GT S/c it...or get a V6 S/C it and have some fun.

I think a lot of the mistaken identity in sounds, is that many people cannot tell the difference between a V8 or V6, just by the sound. They hear a nice deep rumble and they assume that it must be a V8. People have ask me if mine was a V8 as well, but to me it sounds nothing like a V8, it sounds like a nice V6. Which I just so happen to love the sound of.
This is very very true. When I first started looking I said, "I will take any color, but the bright red with the black side stripe that looks so cheap." Haha and I ended up with the exact car, and now I can't imagine having another color.

Well Torch Red is the best color.
legendlime trumps all /endthread
but on a serious note, this stupid exhaust argument has been done since ive been here.
your v6 CANNOT sound like a v8. it doesnt have the correct firing pattern.
this is coming from a sixxer.
all of this being said doesnt mean you cant have a NASTY sounding v6. i drool over my 4.0 sound ever time i start her up.

I'd hold out for a GT. the new V6 is nice, but doesn't have the torque or sound. The key with sound is when you get the engine revving up high. Sure you can make a 6 sound like an 8 at idle, but there is never any comparison when they get up to 4k + rpms, I would know I had a truck with the 4.0 and flowmaster 40's, sounded great at idle and lower rpms.
Edit: and before people get mixed up, I am not saying there is no such thing as a good sounding six, they can sound good.
