Default Pull the trigger?

I have been looking for an 07-09 GT for quite some time now. My uncle is the key , he owns a dealership in NC and will give me auction price. He has had no luck in many months due to my specifics wants such as color, and auto trans/low mileage. I started off wanting to spend around 15k for the car. My uncle calls today and tells me he has a a 2011 V6 with 29,300 miles and will put it on his lot for $20,000ish but will give it to me for $16,999. I am unsure if it is the performance package (I sure hope so) but all i know it is red.I am a fan of the race red but not the candy red. But overall I know that the 11's are running the same HP as a 05-09 GT so power wise no real loss right? And I really am growing into the 2010+ body styles after I never paid attention to them. My question is, as far as the pricing, is it really a steal? I would imagine being an 11 i could trade-in or resell in a couple years and still get worth out of it compared to an 05-09. After this whole year of searching I am just so siked that he actually found ONE stang to give me a chance to look at and buy. All input is welcome! Thanks guys.

16,999$ seems a fair price for a 2011 V6. You will enjoy the V6...suitable gas mileage and power when you want it.

I will just say it before someone else does:

1.) the V6 will not sound as good as the V8
2.) the V6 will not have the low end torque of a 07-09 GT

That said, they are fun cars and gets great mileage. My V6 PP hands likes a dream, even though I'm trading it in for a 5.0 before end of month

O672 very nice before and after pics, love the new grill and rims !

The exhaust note is actually big for me, thats one of the negatives for me. I am sure some modifications can somewhat take care of that.

It's a good buy dude, mileage is kinda high for such a new car but it's still a steal IMO.

And about the torque/HP difference- A few bolt-ons will give you enough oomph to outrun or keep up with a GT. We're not talking a lot of power difference here.

great price, kinda high on the miles imo so check it out yourself first! my folks paid around 27k in the end for my base over a year ago so at 17k it seems like an amazing price

The exhaust shouldn't be a negative for you. I have dual magnaflow exhaust with a custom x pipe on mine and I personally think it sounds better than a GT. This mod costed around 500$.

I would go with which ever body style you like more.
You are looking at very close to the same HP, so it really comes down to:
Do you want a V6 or V8?
1st gen or 2nd gen s197?
Either way you will be getting a great car.

Mileage is high, and that would be a worry if it was a rental... and it does reek of it, but the price is right. I personally would wait for one with lower mileage.

Plz keep this word in mind when reading that statement
I'm not blowing all this extra $$ in gas for nothing, and personally nothing sounds like a V8 to me, except a V10...problem is, there is never one around when you need it

Good price but I'm partial to the 05-09 body style. Worse case is to keep it a year or so and you probably wouldn't lose a penny if you sold it to upgrade.
