Default PROBLEM: Squeeling Brakes

Now I don't believe my pads have been changed, but it is probably time for it. I'm clocked at about 60,000m. I used to get mad at the ones with squeeling brakes, now I'm the victim! Would you recommend getting the same factory pads, or should I consider getting a specific brand name pad that may offer more brake performance wise? Thanks

Squeeeeeeling is most likely from glazed rotors and or pads.
Pick whatever type of pads you like and
deglaze the rotors before you install them.
And be sure to properly bed the new brake
pads (google it) to the unglazed rotors.

If you need new rotors, maybe its time to upgrade
to the GT size rotors and GT caliper brackets for the front...

Be aware that the OEM 16" rims wont work with the GT rotors/GT caliper brackets...

With 60K miles on the pads, the squealing is probably due to the wear indicator. Wear indicators will sound even when brakes are not applied. Best to change them out. Autozone Duralast Cmax ceramics are good brake pads that are effective, quiet and produce low dust; I have them on my GT500.

Hawk makes really good pads, performance driven and long lasting in the overall realm of things.

Um, nope. V6 rotors are V6 rotors.
Unless you have the rare PonyPackage V8 motor upgrade
that is thought to be an urban legend...

BTW calipers are the same from the V6 to the GT...
Its just the brackets that are different.
And your V6 dust shields are already GT rotor in size...
Take a gander at the overly large GT dust shields and
your V6 rotors will start to look like V6 rotors.
PP adds no performance over a non-PP except a rear sway bar...
And thats easily fixed...
