Car Wash for convertible

It's safe. I assume you're worried about the roof. I've got a convertible and it's been through many. Funny though, I do have a lot of swirls in the paint and just attributed it to daily driving wear and tear. Do brushless car washes put swirls? Cause that's all I've used...

I know I'll never find it, but there was a sweet video (might of been 5th gear????) where they took 3 black cars and detailed the hoods. They did a full correction and finished it with Crystal Rock ($1000+ wax). They took each car to a different type of car wash and showed the results.
Each car had a ton of swirls in the end, so yes it will swirl the paint.
It may have to do with the high pressure they use in the "touchless" washes. No idea really

a car wash is a re-creation of poor washing techniques...the only time i have ever used one is in the winter to blast off all the salt etc...car washes WILL put swirls in your paint no matter where you go
what he said...
S197 brought up a good point as well...i think it was fifth gear...they did three different simulations...run through car wash...touchless car wash...and the ppl that re-use the same towels all day...it all comes down to the technique, and a machine has NO technique

i can wash my car in about 1/2 an hour. as long as its not too dirty.
i dont bring my car to jiffy lube either. i do it myself.
my boss at work brought his minivan to a car wash, and the auto car wash ripped off the side panel near the ground
costs about $650 to repair. the car wash place payed for it, but still that was messed up.
the car wash also messed up my moms antenna on her mazda 3, they didnt take it off when it went in, they usually do but this time they didnt
they had to replace it, but was an inconvenience.
i dont trust any geek off the street touching my Mustang.
i'd rather do it myself.
